Accessibility report Sara kulturhus app

Sara kulturhus is responsible for this digital app and just like with the culture house, we want to achieve a high level in terms of accessibility so that as many people as possible can use the app.

This document describes:

  • How Sara Kulturhus meets the law's requirements regarding accessibility to digital service provided by a public actor
  • Known availability issues
  • How you as a user can tell us what does not work

We also want to be clear about the challenges of writing an accessibility report, which we feel is problematic in several ways. In some cases, there may be overlapping parts where lack of accessibility affects several different groupings. Many people can also be in a zone between several different groups. Then the same deficiency should be reported several times, which can be difficult to see.

It also means that the app's owner and user must define usage situations equally, which places very high demands on the user's detailed knowledge in the field.

How accessible is the app?
We have had the privilege of testing the app's degree of availability with a number of test persons with the following functional variations:

  • People with varying degrees of visual impairment or blindness
  • People with various cognitive challenges
  • People with impaired fine motor skills
  • Persons with reduced strength and / or limited mobility

In connection with the tests of the app, the test persons have discovered some areas for improvement where we know that the app's availability can be improved. Under the heading "Content that is not available" below, we describe in more detail what these areas are.

What can you do if you can not use parts of the app?
It is possible for you as a user to give feedback on what you do not think works and we are happy to receive clear and constructive criticism that allows the app to be better.

In that case we need to know:

  • Where did you as a user encounter problems?
  • What part of the app are you experiencing problems with?
  • What type of content does not meet the requirements?
  • In what way do you feel you have a problem?

If you feel that the content from Sara kulturhus is not available to you, but which is excluded from the law's scope of application as described below, you can contact us by email: info@sarakulturhus.se.

Help us get better
We are constantly working to make the Sara kulturhus app even more accessible. By increasing our awareness of what works well and what does not, we can jointly achieve a higher degree of accessibility. If you experience deficiencies that are not described on this page, or if you think we do not meet the requirements by law, get in touch and we will be made aware of the problem and get a chance to do something about it.

Authority supervision
The Swedish Digital Administration is responsible for supervising the law on accessibility to digital services provided by a public actor. If you are dissatisfied with how we at Sara kulturhus handle your views, you can report to the Agency for Digital Administration and report it.

Technical information about the app's availability
When we developed and created the Sara kulturhus app, we proceeded from the following requirements regarding accessibility WCAG 2.1 The requirements in the law - Accessibility supervision (accessibility requirements.fi)

This app is not in full compliance with the law on accessibility of digital services provided by a public operator, with reference to the current availability status described below under the heading "Content not available".

Content not available

For you with varying degrees of visual impairment or blindness

  • It is not possible to take part in all non-text-based content with reading aids, as descriptions in these cases are missing.
  • It is not possible to enlarge all text.
  • The app only offers portrait display orientation.

Development work is underway in terms of reliability and the ability to interpret the app's content with visual aids. An update of this report will therefore be made when these problems are resolved and we can present an improved version of the app.

For you with cognitive challenges

In the automatic slideshow on the app's home page, people with dyslexia or other cognitive challenges may experience difficulty perceiving and interpreting the content. Navigation can also be perceived as problematic, as the images are automatically replaced and cannot be navigated manually.

For you with impaired fine motor skills, impaired strength or limited mobility

  • The app only offers portrait display orientation.
