Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado

Finally, blues general Risager goes out on the road again, with the newly released "BEST OF" in the back and another album that will be released this autumn. In October, Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado will make a long-awaited visit to Skellefteå when the band takes the biggest stage at Sara Kulturhus.

In the summer of 2022, Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado took an important step in their international career when they signed a record contract with Provogue / Mascot Label Group.

On September 30, "Navigation Blues", which is Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado's thirteenth album, and their eighth studio album will be released. The album contains only own songs.
The first single, "Watch The Sun Go Down", will be released on July 1.

Twenty years. It's a lifetime in rock'n'roll. Long enough to chew and spit out artists who do not take it seriously. But also long enough for those who live, breathe and bleed music to be able to build an enviable life's work.

Since Thorbjørn Risager first appeared at the turn of the last century, when a handful of Danish pub guests discovered this uncut diamond on the Copenhagen stage, his meteoric rise has seldom given him time to look back. No, this critically acclaimed songwriter, unique singer and expressive guitarist, and leader of the powerful band Black Tornado, has had his eyes on the horizon: the next city, the next concert, the next album. They have really established themselves as an international band of the highest caliber with their strong and dynamic stage show and refined, rhythmic blues with elements of both rock, soul, roots, americana and funk.
