THINK: Sissela Kyle - Extended best before date

Sustainability is the word of the day, it applies to everything from leadership to waste bags.

Sustainable means that something should last in the long run.

You could say that Sissela Kyle did.

In this inspiring lecture delivered with finesse and the biting humor that is Sissela Kyle's signature, Sissela guides us through the changes in attitudes and behaviors she has encountered during a 40-year professional life.

There is humor throughout, but also commitment. Sissela talks about what it was like to have a pioneer as a mother: Gunhild Kyle was born in 1921, a researcher and the Nordic region's first professor of women's history. What was life like for Sissela's feminist mother, how did her journey compare to Sissela's own?

In recent years, many changes have taken place and much of what seemed completely impossible yesterday is today the only reasonable thing. In a fast-paced and humorous lecture/performance, with lots of laughs but also great seriousness, we get to follow Sissela through anecdotes and reflections on changes and lasting in the long run.

Sissela Kyle is one of Sweden's funniest comedians and most popular actors. She has appeared in many acclaimed theater productions, Parlament on TV4, SVT's Enkelstöten and the attention-grabbing Fröken Friman's Krig, about the fight for women's suffrage. Sissela has received awards such as the King's Medal, the Povel Ramels Karamellodiktstipendie, the Great Rhetoric Prize and has won the prestigious theater award the Golden Mask as many as five times.

The THINK lecture series at Sara kulturhus presents some of Sweden's leading speakers. With their insights and stories, the lecturers sow small seeds of thought in the audience's consciousness and inspire reflection. Sometimes transparent, captivating and clever. Other times creative, exciting and just a little wonderful.
