Robert Karjel is the fighter pilot, author and lecturer who inspires with his knowledge and experience regarding leadership and employees in a changing world. When nothing is static and the degree of unpredictability is high, Robert shares his perspectives and tools into the new.

Building up a division of rescue helicopters in Afghanistan and anti-piracy in Aderviken off Somalia, are just two of the many risky and challenging assignments that Robert has experience with. Assignments that have taught him how an organization, as well as the individual employee, can successfully face completely new tasks despite difficult external and internal conditions, and the individual's own hesitation or outright fear.

Robert's dramatic experiences are among the more extreme, but his insights and tools can be useful to all of us in more common situations within organizations and in the workplace. We get to learn how the "impossible" can be broken down into manageable parts, without the whole being lost and a result actually being achieved.

How do you give birth to successful organizations by creating drive in the individual? How can the individual move from a fear of failure to a shared sense of both the will and ability to achieve something great?

In a captivating and touching way, Robert talks about his insights into the importance of the individual being both willing to take responsibility, but also being given the opportunity to take it as well. He also shows with extremely concrete examples how teamwork is achieved, and how decision-making processes under pressure can be understood and facilitated.

Robert Karjel has a master's degree in Technical Physics, was trained in the US Marine Corps and in 2005 he was a Copeland Fellow at the prestigious Amherst College in Massachusetts where he worked as a writer. He has published four novels, his fifth "After the Monsoon" was published in autumn 2016 and has already been sold to around ten countries.
