Storm's Excavation

How are we really doing in the three plus society? Can we still be touched and seriously engage in a listening and responding relationship with another human being? Or with a work of art? Get goosebumps from music? Profilteatern makes theater out of Stormen's development - the contemporary commentary podcast in which Ola Söderholm, Liv Strömquist and Jonatan Unge put out the text about current affairs and contemporary phenomena with humor and sharpness.

The show starts in the future to get a glimpse of the present. A group of archaeologists has made a ground-breaking find from the 2020s. They have found remains of so-called "content" - material from a podcast that was apparently very popular at the time during the last phase of the late capitalist era. Finally, we will get answers to questions such as: What did a normal day look like for a person during this period? What lives did all these boomers, incels, right-wing trolls and tiktok moms really live? Did they eat the baboon? Did they exclusively have tantric sex? And above all: Why were natural wine, Brazilian butt lifts and self-help gurus more important than collective action?

Excavation of the Storm is a deep dive into issues of narcissism, alienation and social acceleration. A unique and close experience of how people lived and thought in the 2020s and beyond. The show is based on dramatized podcasts from Stormen's development by Söderholm, Strömquist and Unge, which at the beginning of 2023 passed 200 episodes. Welcome to an archaeological excavation of our time.
