The concert year 2025 gets the best possible start as Vintersorg and Fejd perform their first shows at Sara Kulturhus. Vintersorg delivers a groundbreaking fusion of Nordic folk music and black metal. Fejd has a unique sound blending folk music and hard rock that you won't want to miss!

Vintersorg
is a unique folk metal band from Skellefteå, founded in 1994 by visionary Andreas Hedlund, also known as Vintersorg. With their groundbreaking fusion of Nordic folk music and black metal, they quickly gained attention with albums like Till Fjälls (1998) and Ödemarkens Son (1999). The band weaves together powerful melodies, strong vocals, and epic lyrics celebrating nature, creating a timeless and magical soundscape that few can match.

In the 2000s, Vintersorg took their music to new heights by introducing progressive elements on albums like Cosmic Genesis (2000) and Visions from the Spiral Generator (2002). Here, they deepened their sound with complex structures and philosophical themes inspired by the cosmos and science. This bold evolution cemented their reputation as a band constantly exploring new musical territories.

With albums like Solens Rötter (2007) and Till Fjälls, Part II (2017), Vintersorg returned to their roots, but with newfound maturity and depth. The band remains a pioneer within the folk metal genre, beloved for their ability to merge powerful metal with philosophy and nature romanticism. With a loyal fanbase around the world, Vintersorg continues to fascinate and inspire with their uncompromising creativity and vision.

Fejd was formed in 2001 by a group of childhood friends, all of whom had played metal in various bands before. They decided to try something new to challenge their musical tastes, and with a natural interest in both folk music and hard rock, the path was set.

Fejd has released four albums and an EP, with their fifth album just around the corner. In Sweden, you may have encountered them at Månegarm Open Air or Sweden Rock Festival. Across Europe, they have toured extensively and performed at festivals like Wacken, Hellfest, Summer Breeze, and the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival (despite its name, it features a mix of genres), to name a few.

The band is looking forward to visiting Skellefteå, and especially to performing alongside Vintersorg.

See you there!
