On a country road, far from civilization, writer Paul has a terrible car accident. He is saved by nurse Annie, seemingly an angel and one of his greatest admirers.
But what at first seems like a gift from above is actually the beginning of a dark and terrifying captivity. Chained and trapped by Annie's obsession, Paul races against the clock and his own faltering psyche. Will he make it out alive?
In a creepy dramatization of Stephen King's cult story, we meet actress Maria Kulle, acclaimed for her performance in the Riksteatern's dramatization of The Destroyer. In the role of Paul, we see Samuel Fröler. Through Rikard Lekander's skillful direction, Lida becomes a shocking and moving experience.
