FROM BROADWAY TO DUVEMÅLA is Sweden's most popular musical show and one of the definite highlights of the year for all musical enthusiasts! Here, powerful voices and strong emotions collide in a string of the most beloved hits from the world's greatest musicals – all performed by some of our absolute best and most accomplished musical artists.

The show, described by the press as "the Diggiloo of musicals," embarks on an extensive tour throughout Sweden this fall. Just like in previous seasons, the audience will be treated to an entirely new world-class ensemble and updated music from iconic musicals such as "The Phantom of the Opera," "Evita," "Kristina from Duvemåla," "West Side Story," "Chess," "Cats," "Les Misérables," and many more.

This year's tour features John Martin Bengtsson, Emmi Christensson*, Martin Redhe Nord, Linda Pritchard, Viktoria Tocca*, and Malena Tuvung. The orchestra is, as usual, led by conductor Carina E. Nilsson.

* Emmi Christensson and Viktoria Tocca alternate during this year's Sweden tour, and in Skellefteå, it is Viktoria who will be performing.

PARTICIPANTS

JOHN MARTIN BENGTSSON
John Martin Bengtsson is one of Sweden's "musical phantoms" and likely the only one in the world to have sung the male lead roles in "The Phantom of the Opera" in three different languages: Swedish, Danish, and English. He has also played leading roles in several other musicals both in Sweden and abroad, including "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Fame," "Cabaret," "West Side Story," "Les Misérables," "Wicked," and "Beauty and the Beast." Most recently, he was seen in the role of Karl Oskar in "Kristina from Duvemåla" at Dalhalla. Besides the musical stage, John Martin is also a well-received solo artist with multiple albums and appearances in major concert events and TV productions.

LINDA PRITCHARD
Linda Pritchard is a professional singer and dancer who began her musical career at Wallmans Salonger. This led her to larger stages, and since then, Linda has been seen everywhere from Melodifestivalen to touring across Sweden in productions like "Diggiloo" and "Christmas Night." As a musical artist, she has participated in Malmö Opera's touring production of "Godspell," and in 2022, she played the role of Simon in the musical concert "Jesus Christ Superstar" with Ola Salo and Peter Jöback in the lead roles. Linda has also appeared in various TV programs, including "Så ska det låta," "Lotta på Liseberg," and "Sommarkrysset."

MARTIN REDHE NORD
Martin Redhe Nord is a trained musical artist who has participated in productions such as "Mamma Mia!," "Cats," "High School Musical," "West Side Story," "Book of Mormon," "The Witches of Eastwick," and "Kristina from Duvemåla" over the years. His major breakthrough came in 2018 when he played the role of Quasimodo in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" at the Göteborg Opera. In recent years, Martin has been seen in productions like "Next to Normal" and "9 to 5" at Uppsala Stadsteater, as well as in the role of the villainous headmistress Trunchbull in the musical "Matilda" at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm. Martin is also known to TV audiences for his participation in popular programs like "Så ska det låta" and "Doobidoo."

VIKTORIA TOCCA
Viktoria Tocca is an internationally acclaimed singer who has played several major roles in some of the world's most famous musicals, including Christine in "The Phantom of the Opera," Empress Sissi in the world premiere of the German mega-musical "Ludwig II," Francesca in "The Bridges of Madison County," and Kristina in "Kristina from Duvemåla" at Dalhalla. As a solo artist, Viktoria has, among other achievements, charted on Svensktoppen with the duet "I ljus och mörker" alongside Martin Stenmarck, performed live in front of 350 million TV viewers at the 2004 Figure Skating European Championships, and reached 3rd place on the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart with her own song "We're Still Young" in 2014.

MALENA TUVUNG
Malena Tuvung is an accomplished singer and musical artist who has participated both as a dancer and singer in everything from cabaret shows to musicals and operas. On the musical stage, she has been seen in productions such as "Fame," "Grease," "Jekyll & Hyde," "My Fair Lady," "Mary Poppins," "Romeo & Juliet," and "West Side Story." In 2009, she played the lead role of Grizabella in the musical "Cats" at Cirkus in Stockholm, where she sang one of the greatest hits in musical history, "Memory" – a song she also performed on "Allsång på Skansen." In the summer of 2023, she was seen for the second consecutive year in the concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar at Dalhalla.
